Konstantinos Vatougios (a.k.a. fayum) was born in 1980 in Piraeus and comes from the island of Ikaria.
He studied at the School of Drama of the Fine Arts Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television of the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). He also has music studies.
After working in the theatre field (National Theatre of Northern Greece, Athens & Epidaurus Festival, among others), he moved into advertising and communication, initially as a Copywriter and later as a Creative Director (Ogilvy Greece, The Newtons Laboratory, Redirect, Magnet).
Over time, his work shifted steadily toward strategy.
He held senior strategic roles at major agencies, including Solid Havas, where he worked in Creative Strategy, and Publicis Groupe Greece, where he served as Creative Intelligence Strategy Head across the group’s agencies (Publicis, Leo Burnett, Digitas, MSL), leading strategic thinking for global and local brands.
Today, he works independently as a Creative Intelligence Strategist (https://creativestrategy.online/), collaborating with brands and agencies to translate insights into clear, usable strategic direction.
Having founded ikariamag.gr, Arteis Art Festival and Free Flights publishing firm, Konstantinos consistently explores the intersection of culture, society, creativity and new media.
He loves technology, books, running and glasses (with cocktails in them).
